Founder's Fund

Any person or corporation who makes a gift to The Founders Fund will be listed permanently in the Foundation's archives and on our website as a "Founder of the Cary Community Foundation."

The first Cary Community Foundation Board of Directors created The Founders Fund in order to launch its efforts to promote philanthropy in Cary. The Fund provides an opportunity for anyone or any business in our community to make a gift, be recognized as having participated in the creation of the foundation, and to make a contribution towards Cary's legacy. Gifts of any size are welcome through June 30, 2008.

With a goal of raising at least $400,000 by June 2008, the Board has designed this fund to play many roles for the Foundation. The money collected through the Founder's Fund will be divided as follows:

20% Administrative Endowment
20% Administrative Fund
30% Unrestricted Grants
30% Unrestricted Endowment for Grants
