Affiliation with NCCF
The Cary Community Foundation is very pleased to have established a strategic alliance as an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).
NCCF is a twenty year old community Foundation with over 60 affiliates across North Carolina. It has significant expertise and capabilities.
Why did CCF choose to affiliate with NCCF?
First, CCF is intent on serving the town of Cary and its residents. It did not want to be distracted from that objective by duplicating administrative capacity that was already available at the highest quality.
As long as it best serves the philanthropic needs of Cary, CCF will continue as an Affiliate of NCCF.
What does it mean for CCF to be an affiliate of NCCF?
While CCF is a separate not-for-profit organization working within the national standards for community foundations, almost all of the funds of CCF are the assets of NCCF.
NCCF invests the funds on behalf of CCF with the efficiency, economy and detailed oversight attendant to a total portfolio of over $100 million.
Moreover, NCCF provides administrative support.
Finally, NCCF has expertise on which CCF can draw in order to serve Cary.
In summary, the Board of Directors of the Cary Community Foundation decided to give our community the strongest possible administrative capability without creating unnecessary and very expensive overhead. CCF's Strategic Alliance with The North Carolina Community Foundation provides that opportunity for Cary.
